Ares Games is back from Spiel 2023, the biggest board game event in the world, with 193.000 visitors this year. Our booth was always full of players coming to try our new games - Ensemble, The Rich and The Good, Cangaceiros, Quartermaster General East Front, War of the Ring - The Card Game, and beloved classics - Sword & Sorcery, Quartermaster General, and War of the Ring board game.
The table dedicated to War of the Ring was especially popular, with lots of new players coming to try the game, and interested in the entire game line. In the Play Area, the preview of Pyramidice was a great success, with more sessions than planned due to the big attendance.
Many visitors came to our booth to take advantage of great deals and to get the games with the first copies arriving at the show, as Against the Shadow, solo and cooperative expansion for WotR Card Game, and the WW1 Wings of Glory observation balloons. Pre-releasing at Spiel, Quartermaster General: East Front and Kings of Middle-earth, the new expansion for War of the Ring Second edition, arrived only in the third day - customers who had pre-ordered the game and tried to pick it in the first two days will have their copies shipped soon.
