Sword & Sorcery - Abyssal Legends, the ultimate campaign set for the co-op fantasy dungeon crawler, is now on Kickstarter. The epic climax to the Immortal Souls and Ancient Chronicles saga, bringing the dark and scary vibes of the Cthulhu mythos to the Sword & Sorcery world, the project reached its funding goal of $50,000 in only 40 minutes after its launch, and enters its fourth day with $200,000 pledged and more than 1,700 backers.

Sword & Sorcery is a fully cooperative fantasy board game where one to five players control legendary Heroes with unique powers. Recalled from the dead and made immortal by the will of the Three Gods, the Heroes embark on a quest to destroy false and corrupted deities, fighting across land & sea. The game system combines the exploration and challenging tactical situations of the best MMORPGs with the storytelling power of fast-paced action RPGs to forge the Ultimate Heroic Fantasy Adventure.

Abyssal Legends: epic climax for S&S Ancient Chronicles and Immortal Souls, now on Kickstarter.

Abyssal Legends’ storyline takes place fifty years after the events of the Immortal Souls saga, but the roots of the story originate from the distant past of the Ancient Chronicles. The immortal heroes sail to the Ancient Mariner port to investigate a mysterious death at the Heavenshine monastery, and to find the source of a terrible dream: the shared vision of a sunken city, twisting into a nightmare of blasphemous tentacles, horrifying images, and ending with the silhouette of a titanic creature... the Great Elder One.

This new expansion presents new enemies and new quests, and it also expands the gameplay and universe of Sword & Sorcery introducing ship and cannons, a new hero - the monster hunter Abraham, fears and phobias, firearms, and a mystery to solve. The new journey begins with a mysterious tragedy... the death of Marcus. To unveil the mystery behind this unexpected loss, heroes will be able to investigate from the top of the tallest tower of the Heavenshine Abbey to the darkest recesses of its dungeons, listening to witnesses and observing the suspects in their daily habits.

Abyssal Legends' new hero: Abraham, the monster hunter.

Abyssal Legends is perfectly compatible with both S&S campaigns, Immortal Souls and Ancient Chronicles — all Quests use a different Enemy setup depending on the chosen saga, combined with tons of new cards. All available S&S Heroes and Enemies can be integrated into Abyssal Legends.

The Kickstarter project presents two pledge levels: Abyssal Hero ($99) includes a copy of the exclusive Kickstarter edition of Abyssal Legends, featuring all the content of the retail version (20 detailed 32mm miniatures, a rulebook, a storybook, over 20 map tiles, site sheets, cards, and tokens), plus all special items, and all unlocked Stretch Goals and Mystery Goals unveiled day by day during the campaign; and Abyssal Champion ($249), for players who are new to the game and want to receive, in addition to your Abyssal Legends rewards, everything else needed to play the full Ancient Chronicles saga.

Sword & Sorcery Abyssal Legends project will run on Kickstarter until July 26th and is expected to ship to backers in October 2024, from Ares’ main warehouse in the USA and from secondary warehouses in Australia, Canada, China, Italy, and the UK, with no customs charges applying to backers in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, European Union, United Kingdom, Canada, and USA.
