The English edition of the diplomacy and strategy game FIEF France, published by ASYNCRON games, is now shipping to distributors and will start to hit the US stores on May 13th.

FIEF France: a game of diplomacy and strategy in the Middle Ages.

FIEF France is a new edition of FIEF, a game of strategic conquest that simulates a military, economic, and political fight between several lords in the Middle Ages, first published in the 80’s and with a long and successful publishing history. Players (3 to 6) head noble families in the medieval kingdom of France, comprised of individual lords who strive to obtain nobility and ecclesiastical titles. These titles not only give wealth and power, but also give the right to vote for whom will become the next King of France or the Pope.

This new edition includes a new board representing the kingdom of France and new rules with the appearance of harbor cities and naval movements. Towns are connected by roads that allow the lords and their troops to travel; each town is both part of a fief and a bishopric.
