Two conventions to be held in Italy this month have in their schedule activities related to Wings of Glory. At "Etna Comics" (14-16 September, in Catania, Sicily), the author Andrea Angiolino will be present for a workshop and a meeting focused on the game design. At the end of month, in Piemonte region, the convention "Settimo in Gioco" (29-30 September, at Settimo Torinese-TO) will host a gourmand dogfight, to fight over a multi-level cake!

This weekend, at “Etna Comics”, people will have the chance to see the latest Wings of Glory releases and also to know something more about the game history. Angiolino, co-author of Wings of Glory together with Pier Giorgio Paglia, will present a workshop on Friday, 14th, at 5pm, talking about the game creation and showing some of the original prototypes of the game at different stages of development. On Sunday 16th, at 10am, Angiolino will talk about the game and explain its rules in the games area, where people can play it and see the WW1 Rules and Accessories Pack and the WW1 Airplane Packs, recently released, and the upcoming WW2 bombers. The convention's schedule also includes a conference about games authors at 12 o’clock by Angiolino.

In Piemonte, a funny and sweet Wings of Glory battle will take place, promoted by the “Settimo in Gioco” organizers with the "Smimmo" pastry shop, which every year take part to the show. In this edition, the confectioner will have Wings of Glory as inspiration for a masterpiece of pastry making, combining their cookery skills with advanced aeronautical engineering to create a multilevel cake that will represent a typical Wings of Glory dogfight.

The main aces of WWI will challenge each other on their marzipan planes, upon clouds of sponge cake and whipped cream. At the bottom, an aerodrome bearing the colors of the game show. On Sunday 30th, from 4pm, people will have the chance of attending and taking part to the creation of this true sculpture. The best part will come following: a piece of cake to every attendee. Who will have the honor of eating the Red Baron?
