Nanty Narking: new edition available.

A new edition of the board game of wit and podsnappery Nanty Narking, by Martin Wallace, will release this month: Nanty Narking Standard Edition is a streamlined version of the game, without the miniatures which are the main feature of the previous Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition is still available in North America, and Phalanx and Ares announced a special offer for Christmas 2021: until December, 31st (or until stock lasts), the Deluxe Edition can be purchased at the suggested retail price of $ 69.90, instead of the previous SRP of $ 99.95.

Nanty Narking is a hidden roles boardgame with “easy to learn” rules, a highly detailed Victorian setting, beautiful components, and fast and tense gameplay with strong player interaction. The game locations, events, and characters are tied to real and fictional characters and places in Victorian London. The action takes place on the map of the city, with players placing their followers and buildings on the board through card play. At the beginning of the game, each player draws a secret personality with specific victory conditions, and needs to fulfill his goal while try to prevent others from winning, even if not sure about what they need to do to win.

The new Standard edition features a cardboard board, 79 Standees and bases, 161 cards, 4 Player Aid charts, cardboard counters, and a 12-Sided die, with a suggested retail price of $45. The Deluxe Edition is a limited printing which includes 91 miniatures, instead of the cardboard standees.
