Ryozen is a strategic worker placement game for 2 to 4 players, set in a vibrant fantasy realm where mystical animal clans compete to earn the favor of the Phoenix Queen.

As the final nights before her awakening unfold, each clan sends forth its most talented Kin — double-sided workers with asymmetric abilities — to perform tasks across six Sectors and the central Palace. These placements trigger powerful Daytime effects and set the stage for Nighttime rewards, where area control and influence determine who reaps the greatest benefits.

At the heart of the board lies the three-dimensional Phoenix Palace, which can be rotated to shift the landscape and change the opportunities available in the surrounding Sectors. This layered rotating board, along with the strategic use of face-up or face-down workers, allows for deep tactical planning and constant player interaction.

Each game plays out over three intense rounds, divided into Daytime, Nighttime, and Dawn phases. Turns are quick and engaging, with immediate and delayed effects that reward foresight, timing, and adaptability.
