Viking Route: pre-releasing at UK Games Expo.
Ares Games will be at UK Games Expo 2026 (May 29-31, Birmingham, UK - stand 3-A-402), with the pre-release of Viking Route, a cooperative game with an ingenious compass-and-magnets mechanic. Ares Games will also be presenting the newly released Altay – Seafarers, first expansion for Altay – Dawn of Civilization, and previews of three titles coming in the second half of the year: Quartermaster General: West Front, the third entry in Quartermaster General’s two-player line, and two expansions in the War of the Ring game line - Sieges of Middle-earth, the 4th expansion of the War of the Ring board game, and Hope and Despair, the 3rd expansion of War of the Ring: The Card Game.

Visitors of the Ares stand will find recent releases and games available at UKGE for the first time: the roll-and-write game TEDOKU, the strategy game portraying the last months of World War 2 WunderWaffen, the word-guessing party game Perfect Mismatch, and Quartermaster General: South Front. These games, as well the first copies of Viking Route, the new Altay – Seafarers expansion, and other novelties from Ares Games’ publisher partners can be pre-ordered on the Ares Games web shop for pick-up at Ares' stand.

Ian Brody, designer of Quartermaster General and War of the Ring: The Card Game, will be present at Ares’ stand on Friday and Saturday to meet and play with fans. Ares will also host the 5th edition of the traditional Battle of Birmingham, a large-scale participation event for the WW1 Wings of Glory game. The event is open to new players - Ares’ demo crew will explain how to play in a few minutes, and an airplane miniature will be provided.
