Mega Empires: The Far East: two new epic games on Kickstarter.

Three stretch goals were unlocked in the first days of the campaign adding new items to the rewards: Cultural Heritage, The Quest expansion, and Zodiac events. The first is an extra set of Cultural Heritage cards to use with The West and The East. These cards already included in the Far East sets, to be used when playing with 3 or 4 players, and now it can be included when playing the previous sets. The Quest is a completely new module, compatible with The Far East, as well as the existing Mega Empires games. It features Quest cards, which will make certain cultural achievements of your empire more precious than others, and increase the variety of strategies you can follow when playing the game. The Zodiac Events module includes additional event tokens and their rules, featuring the Chinese Zodiac.

Mega Empires: Far East - North and South) are two new standalone board games which add a fascinating new setting and new cultures to Mega Empires, giving a broader perspective on the development of empires across Eurasia in ancient times. They are designed with smaller player groups in mind, 3 to 5 players, and can be combined into a larger experience for up to 10 players games – or even more, with previous Mega Empires games.

Mega Empires: The Far East North is set in East Asia and includes the renowned Chinese dynasties and the Heian period. It features the Great Wall and revolutionary innovations such as the magnetic compass, the pound lock, paper money, and gunpowder. Mega Empires: The Far East South is set in continental and maritime Southeast Asia, including the renowned Khmer and Srivijaya empires and featuring revolutionary innovations such as hydraulic engineering, paddy field farming, and refined naval craftsmanship, which contributed to maritime dominance in the region.

The crowdfunding project brings also the expansion The Silk Road, centered on the legendary network of routes which linked the Far East with the Middle East and the Western world. The Silk Road adds two new empires, Zhangzhung and Tibet, along with rules and components for various alternative game setups, enhancing The Far East, as well as the previous Mega Empires games, The East and The West. It includes the Age of Grandeur expansion module, additional maps to create geographical connections between the other game boards, components for the two new empires, and multiple scenarios to play Mega Empires with any number of players, from 3 to 30.
