Following the announcement of Sieges of Middle-Earth™, a new expansion for the War of the Ring™ Second Edition coming in the second half of 2026, many players have reached us with questions regarding a limited edition of it. See below the most frequent questions answered.
Do you plan to release a limited edition of Sieges of Middle-earth (“Sieges”)?
Yes, it is our intention to release a limited edition of Sieges, compatible with and similar to our previous limited-edition War of the Ring releases.
When will it be released?
The limited edition of Sieges does not have a set release date, but it will certainly be several months in the future, as production has not yet started.
This means that War of the Ring – The Two Decades Limited Edition (Two Decades) is an incomplete product!
No, Two Decades is what it has always been – the limited edition of War of the Ring, Lords, Kings, and Warriors of Middle-earth in a deluxe, painted version. It covers all the expansions to date, but of course it cannot include Sieges or any other future War of the Ring product. That said, we will certainly make sure that the future limited edition of Sieges will be compatible with Two Decades (and the Anniversary release as well).
What about the Two Decades Card Collection?
The card box of the Card Collection is designed to fit the cards included in Sieges (and there will be some extra space left to fit at least another expansion, if there will be one).
What if I cancel my Two Decades order now?
You can always cancel a pre-order according to our normal terms, for any reason. That said, please note that Two Decades is almost sold out (about 100 copies remain available), and there are no plans to reprint it in conjunction with the limited edition of Sieges.
Can I ask you not to ship Two Decades now, and ship it together with a limited edition of Sieges when it is ready?
We appreciate your trust and willingness to delay the shipment of Two Decades until an unspecified future moment for a still-to-be-announced future product, but this is not possible. Storing copies of Two Decades until an uncertain future time, in several warehouses across the world, would be a complex and costly logistical challenge.
Ok, but… when will I get the copy I ordered of Two Decades, then?
Production and painting of the miniatures is complete, and we are now working to finalize all packaging components, which in the latest quality check were not up to the standards we wanted to achieve with this product. We are now at the final approval stage for these packaging components, and we plan to launch mass production after the Chinese New Year holiday, with an estimated completion date in May. Fulfillment will follow, typically to be completed within 1 to 3 months from the end of production.
