WunderWaffen: multi-player strategy game set at the end of World War II.
Ares Games will be at Essen Spiel 2025 (October 23-26, Essen, Germany, Hall 3 A-115) with new releases, previews, and events. At the show, attendees can get the first copies of WunderWaffen – a strategy game portraying the last months of World War 2 – and of the roll-and-write game TEDOKU. Three more new games will also be available at Spiel: Quartermaster General: South Front, Perfect Mismatch, and Dirt & Dust, published by Albi.
A limited number of copies of Sword & Sorcery - Abyssal Legends, the mind-bending climax of the Ancient Chronicles and Immortal Souls sagas, will also be available for purchase. These are the last copies players will be able to get now – this new campaign set will be released to retail in Summer 2026.
TEDOKU: a clever and addictive “roll, flip, and write” game.
At the Ares Games booth, it will be possible to play for the first time two upcoming Mega Empires: The Far East games (North and South) – the new additions to the epic Mega Empires game series – and Altay - Seafarers, the first expansion for Altay - Dawn of Civilization. Viking Route, our cooperative game with an ingenious compass-and-magnets mechanic, releasing in early 2026, will also be in demo, as well as recent releases like Aeterna and Balconia, and best sellers like War of the Ring - The Card Game and Sword & Sorcery.
Ares will also host special activities at the booth: “Play to Win” games for TEDOKU and Perfect Mismatch, and events with game designers:

- Play with the Designer - Walter Obert, author of Wunderwaffen (Thursday - 4 PM, Friday and Saturday, 12:00 Noon)
- Learn the Game with the Designer - Flo de Haan and Gerart de Haan, authors of Mega Empires (Thursday and Friday, 2:30 PM)
