Altay - Dawn of Civilization, a deck-building civilization game set in a mythic age released earlier this year in its English edition, has been translated into six languages, co-published with international partners. Four new editions are releasing this month: French (Gigamic), German (Asmodee Deutschland), Italian (MS Edizioni), and Polish (Galakta Games). Earlier this year, the game was released in Japanese (Hobby Japan) and Russian (Gaga Games).
Designed by Ole Steiness and Paolo Mori, with amazing art by Pauliina Hannuniemi, Altay combines deck-building, civilization development, and area expansion elements to create an easy-to-play, yet challenging, experience. The game takes players to a fantasy world at the dawn of time: In a secluded region within a vast continent, four mysterious societies have cultivated distinct cultures over countless years, maintaining a fragile balance. They now face a new challenge: an influx of human settlers with advanced crafts and weapons. Players lead one of Altay’s Elder Peoples and face the arrival of human settlers in your ancestral lands.
