In the final months of World War II, as the Normandy landings paved the way to the occupation of Berlin and the resulting defeat of the German army, the Third Reich's laboratories scientists and technicians worked on new and terrible weapons, in the hope of turning the tide of a hopeless situation. WunderWaffen, a strategy game that portrays this final phase of the war, is coming in November 2025, with a pre-release at Essen Spiel 2025 and pre-orders open on Ares Games webshop.

WunderWaffen: multi-player strategy game set at the end of World War II.

Designed by Walter Obert, WunderWaffen recreates the troubled collaboration between the Soviet Union, United Kingdom, and United States Allies in the final phase of the war. The Allies players have to balance the urgency to rapidly advance toward Berlin with the need to limit the Germans’ scientific research, while also trying to help one another. The Germany player have to advance on the Research Track for the so-called “WunderWaffen,” trying at the same time to put up a desperate fight against the Allies’ advance, to delay the inevitable defeat.
