After the success of Fighters of the Pacific, it's time to relive the fury of air combat on the western front of WW2 during the Battle of Britain with Fighters of Europe, a new game by Don't Panic Games. Releasing to retail in September 2025, Fighters of Europe captures the intensity of WWII air combat with historically accurate aircraft and immersive gameplay, and accessible mechanics that still present challenge and depth. The game will arrive at the same time as Fighters of Europe – Theatre Expansion, with two new campaigns - Battle of France and the Defense of the Reich.
Fighters of Europe is a fast-paced, scenario-driven game where 1 to 4 players take command of historical fighter and bomber squadrons in the Battle of Britain. No dice, no rulers — just pure tactical dogfighting. With a large, detailed map and dozens of airplanes — including Hurricanes, Spitfires, Messerschmitt Bf 109s, Heinkel 111s, and Junkers 88s, the game includes 10 scenarios fully compatible with Fighters of the Pacific for expanded battles.
Fighters of Europe – Theatre Expansion introduces two new campaigns featuring nine new aircraft types, 10 historical scenarios, and over 40 hours of additional gameplay, from the early days of WWII to the war’s final battles. In Battle of France, players take command of the French Air Force as it fights to resist the overwhelming German blitzkrieg. In Defense of the Reich, they step into the cockpit of the Me 262, the world’s first operational jet fighter, or command the legendary B-17 Flying Fortress, a massive bomber requiring coordinated efforts to be brought down. Each of them includes five scenarios, historically accurate aircraft with unique traits, and essential game components, adding intensity, strategy, and new challenges to Fighters of Europe.
While the new game and its expansion pack are due to be released in September, the Fighters of the Pacific reprint has arrived in Ares' US warehouse, and will be in stores by August. The expansions for the game, Battle of Midway and Battle of the Coral Sea will be back too, now packed together in Fighters of the Pacific – Theatre Expansion, available from September.
