The WW2 Wings of Glory Special Packs, featuring the bombers Heinkel He.111 and North American Mitchell B-25, will be available in US and Canadian stores starting from October 17th. The new packs arrived at the Ares Games’ warehouse in the U.S. and are now shipping to North American distributors. In Europe, the Special Packs will hit the stores in the second half of October.

The WW2 Special Packs add to the Wings of Glory game multi-engine aircrafts with multiple machine guns and larger crews.

The Heinkel He.111s was the Luftwaffe’s bombing mainstay in the early years of the WW2. The two versions released are H variants, used by the KG 53 (Kampfgeschwader 53) "Legion Condor". One of them is an H-3, used by the Stab./KG 53, and the other is an H-5 that served the 1./KG 53 group and has a snow camouflage paint scheme.

The B-25 Mitchell is famous for the raid over Japan in April 1942, and one of the two B-25 Special Packs is the B-25B used by Lieutenant Colonel James Doolittle in that operation. The other is a C variant, used by first lieutenant George Bauer of the 489th Squadron, 340th Bomber Group.

Each WW2 Wings of Glory Special Pack is a ready-to-play large size model, painted and assembled, 100% compatible with any other WW2 Wings of Glory game product. The packs include a special base with gaming stats, a variable altitude flying stand, and a specific deck of maneuver cards, as well as specific rules and components necessary to use the airplane. It’s necessary to own a WW2 Wings of Glory Starter Set or other compatible WW2 airplane combat rules set to play – the Special Packs are fully compatible with the former WW2 Wings of War game system.
